For many organizations the pandemic has allowed the rethinking of what it means to be human at work — we have seen genuine efforts from employers and individuals to create healthier workplaces where purpose, resilience and compassion have become part of the business strategy.

This change has not been easy, as it required commitment and courage that is often driven by the persistence of individuals to drive positive change.

The next challenge for these organizations will be simply to maintain this momentum and for other organizations to start the change.

Can we do this a collective effort? That’s the reason why the Simply Human Recognition Award was launched:

  • To recognize individuals that got the courage to enable change
  • To share their stories so that it can become inspiration for others
  • To jointly say thank you for the courage to drive change in the workplace

What should you do? Simply nominate! You can nominate an HR individual at any level of seniority. Someone who did actions not just ideas — actions beyond the call of duty that had a positive impact on people.

You can nominate in 3 categories:

  • Wellbeing: people who implemented action that improve the wellbeing of the organization
  • People’s Development: people who implemented programs or activities that supported personal and professional development that changed the lives of people for the better
  • Culture: people who are constantly striving to bring and implement solutions that allow employees to live and breathe the company’s values: making it tangible, relatable and with purpose

You can submit your nominations directly here

What happens next? On the 28th of June 2022, we will release and celebrate the most impactful stories on a global online event. All updates will be released in the event page https://www.bessern.co/simply-human-awards

One simple last point — when you check with employees what are their most important needs at work, they claim this:

  • I matter
  • I belong
  • I am enabled to become the best I can
  • I am recognized

That’s why we created a platform that helps inspire positive change at work and celebrates the individuals having the courage to drive this change.
